Short Summary:
Hello! I’m Shane Bugbee, a veteran artist and publisher with over 30 years of experience curating and championing censored, banned, and misunderstood artists, including everyone from Anton LaVey, founder of modern Satanism and author of The Satanic Bible, to underground cartoonist Mike Diana. My career has always been about bringing revolutionary voices to the public, and this new project is no exception. I’m excited to introduce Bomb Ass Recipes from the Kitchen of American Revolutionaries Bill Ayers & Bernardine Dohrn. This isn’t just a cookbook—it’s a celebration of resistance, served with a side of rebellion.
Why This Project Matters:
This cookbook is a rare glimpse into the private lives of two of America’s most influential activists, featuring personal recipes, anecdotes, and never-before-seen memorabilia from Ayers and Dohrn’s home. These are the meals that fueled discussions of radical change, shared during a time when food became a form of solidarity and survival. Contributors aren’t just backing a cookbook; they’re helping preserve and promote revolutionary thought, building a legacy that extends beyond the pages of this book.
What We Need & What You Get:
We need $10,000 to cover the costs of printing, editorial and design work, promotion, and producing exclusive bonus items like limited-edition pins and certificates of authenticity. Your contribution will also help us lay the groundwork for Ink Flower Fun Fountain, a new small press focused on countercultural and radical publications.

Signed Copies of the Cookbook: Each copy will be personally signed by the curator, Shane Bugbee, making it a unique collector’s edition.

With the book already prepared and ready for the press, there’s minimal risk involved. We’ve personally funded the majority of the project so far, accumulating over $6,000 in production debt. The main obstacle now is securing the final funding to bring this vision to life and launch our new press, which will require a reliable workspace, storage, and distribution channels.
